LET'S MAKE HISTORY. Women and Men for Change
1. We do not need a change in Government
Are you getting the services and benefits you deserve? Are your
complaints, needs and worries taken seriously, or does it only happen
just before elections? Does the government make a better life for all
Malaysians or only a few Malaysians with good connections? Remember
these questions when you vote. Vote wisely.
2. My vote is only one vote. It does not count. How much can it change?
Every vote counts! The winner is the person with the most votes and a
wakil rakyat can even win by just one vote. YOU could be the person who makes that difference. You can decide on your government with your one vote.
3. The woman's place is in the home, not worrying about elections and
the country.
Women form half the population of Malaysia. We make up almost half the
workers employed in factories, in business and in the government. Women who work at home
are also workers. We contribute to the nation's development and progress. Women do care
about what is happening to the country and government. Our vote shows we care.
4. Women don't have problems
For the same work why are women paid less than men? Why is there no
good child-care to help women and men? Why are some laws better for men than for women? Why is
it that every day in Malaysia, there are about 4 women abused, raped or
violated? And these are only those who report to the police. You
probably know some cases yourself which don't get reported.
WE WANT A SOCIETY THAT RESPECTS EVERY HUMAN BEING, REGARDLESS OF GENDER, RACE, CLASS AND RELIGION.
Let's make history, vote for a government which can imporve our
children's lives.
